What makes us different?
St Peter's nurtures high performance sport.
We have a strong track record of high performance teams and individuals across a variety of codes. We have produced New Zealand representatives and elite athletes who compete at the highest levels while attending St Peter’s and continue to compete after leaving school.
Our sports people enjoy world-class facilities. These include gymnasiums, swimming pools, courts, turf, fields, tracks, an equestrian centre, a golf driving range, a boathouse at Lake Karapiro, and access to the national velodrome. These exceptional facilities allow St Peter’s to host regional and national teams such as the Chiefs (rugby), the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic (netball), the New Zealand Rugby Sevens teams, NZ Warriors, Triathlon NZ, Cycling NZ, Waikato Hockey and the All Blacks.
Sport at St Peter’s is led by dedicated people. All sports are coordinated by highly experienced staff, specialist coaches and enthusiastic managers. At St Peter’s we encourage strong links with our families so the support and help of parents is welcomed and encouraged across all the sporting codes.
